Plant Cell Poem

Plant cell has a wall to surround it,

Membrane makes the organelles fit.

Rough ER creates membrane material with a sheen,

And chloroplasts produce the pigment, green.

Cytoplasm is the jelly in which the organelles float,

While vacuole is for water and waste storage like a tote.  

Golgi Apparatus sends proteins to their destination,

And Smooth ER regulates calcium concentration.

Nucleolus transcribes the RNA,

Not to mention assembling it inside every day.

Nuclear membrane is a thin barrier,

It’s composed of a lipid bilayer.

Mitochondria are powerhouses for the cell,

Nucleus controls the organelles quite well.

Ribosomes create essential protein,

While lysosomes keep the cell pristine and clean.
