A Collection of the Haiku of the Renowned Katsu

Summer skies shine bright
Unaware of happenings
Taking place below.

Hands wrinkled and frail
Needle in and out of cloth
Low fire crackles.

Galloping freely
Grasses, bushes and trees blow
As passing through fields.

Naught stirs this gentle night
All cower in fear of thee
Thine power and fright.

Chop me down, human
Strip me of my leaves and fruits
If you even dare to try.

Lilies shine colors
Dancing, twirling with the breeze
Elegance is clear.

Rivers wind through fields
And ominous places
All within my heart.

Hear the birds’ voices
Calling to one another
In towering trees.

Rain dropping to earth
Fills our troughs and Bonsai gardens
Refreshing the soil.

Storm or shine we blow
Sometimes chillier than snow
Or warmer than coals.
