The Hope of Becoming a Veterinarian

Veterinarians are necessary to the survival of earth.  Without healthy animals, we wouldn’t be healthy either.  Vets put this possible dilemma to rest.  If vets weren’t around, certain animals may even die out.  Vets are immensely important to human life in multiple disregarded ways.
To be a veterinarian, there are a few things to consider.  First of all, most vets do preform surgeries, so they cannot be squeamish about seeing blood.  Also, they must be prepared to work about forty hours every week.  Usually, you have to go to college for no more than eight years all together.  Lastly, you’re going to be around hundreds of animals, so if you are allergic to dogs or cats, this probably isn’t the job for you.
Most vets enjoy being around all animals, but many choose a certain group of animals to specialize in, like larger mammals, pets or sea life.  Also, veterinarians are generally pretty good at explaining facts and ideas to other people.  The base salary for a vet is $50,000 to $90,000, but some veterinarians who own private businesses make more than $100,000.
As I stated earlier, Veterinarians are quite important to human health.  Animals and humans alike would die without them.  They care for animals almost as much as humans.  Aspiring to become a vet is a marvelous prospect.   They save lives everyday, and delight in taking care of God’s creation.  One day I hope to be following the path towards my veterinary license.
